Before you tuck away your lovely linen, let's do a quick laundry check. It's important to avoid over-cramming your washing machine. Why, you ask? Well, when you overload it, the water and detergent won't distribute evenly. Those pesky wrinkles start creeping in on your beautiful linen. We definitely want to steer clear of that. So, remember, give your linen some space to breathe and resist the urge to overload the washing machine. Your linen will come out looking fresh and wrinkle-free, ready to impress.
We're proud members of Team Hang-Dry here at Grae Cove. Hang-drying is a perfect move for your linen fabric. High heat in the dryer can be a villain that breaks down those delicate linen fibers. Plus, hang-drying is not only kinder to the environment, but it's also an effective way to keep those wrinkles at bay. We know, though, that life isn't always a breeze, and hang-drying all the way may not be the most practical option for everyone. So, if you find yourself reaching for the dryer, especially for your beloved linen sheets or linen clothes, we've got a short-cut up our sleeves. Dry them on a low heat setting until they're slightly damp, and then go for the grand finale by draping or hanging them to finish drying.
When it comes to storing linen, the fold vs. hang debate arises. We say you can do both! To minimize deep-set wrinkles in your linen clothes, we recommend hanging. While linen clothes are sturdy, it can stretch or distort over time. Just be sure to leave breathing room between each garment - this promotes proper air circulation and ensures that your clothes are squashed together creating unwanted wrinkles.
To reduce wrinkles in your linen sheets and bedding, fold the sheets on a flat surface, smoothing and lightly stretching with your hands as you go. Again, avoid storing your linen sheets in an overcrowded shelf, and do not place heavy objects on top of your folded sheets. The ideal approach is to allow air circulation and minimize pressure points.
Now, let's talk containers. Choosing the right storage containers for your linen bedding can make a world of difference. Opt for breathable options like linen bags. Oh, and guess what? When you purchase Grae Cove linen bedding, we'll throw in a free storage linen bag! If you're in a pinch, an extra-large pillowcase can do the trick too. Just say no to plastic storage bags. They're not only harmful to the environment, but they also trap moisture, promoting mildew and musty odors. Let your linen breathe freely and keep that fresh linen scent intact.
Remember to keep your linen clothes and linen bedding clean, use proper folding techniques, select breathable storage containers, and maintain suitable environmental conditions. With these practices in place, you can revel in the beauty and luxury of wrinkle-free linen whenever your heart desires.

Crafted from lightweight linen materials, our lounge dresses take comfort to a whole new level. Linen is known for its breathability (check out our article about the 7 Reasons We Love Linen). Linen is known for its breathability, making it a dream to wear. The flowy fabric feels cool to the touch and absorbs moisture, perfect for tackling your to-do list or lounging by the pool on a scorching summer's day. And let's not forget about those loose silhouettes that give you maximum room to move and groove. Take our prairie-style linen dress, Paige, for example. It features a smocked waist detail that's both figure-flattering and oh-so-comfortable. We adore the off-the-shoulder design, but did you know that you can also pull the elastic neckline over your shoulders for added flexibility and versatility? Whether you're indulging in some well-deserved couch cuddles, conquering your to-do list, or enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation, the Paige lounge dress has got your back (quite literally!).
Oh, the house dress, it's more than just comfort, my friends. It's a style statement in itself! This marvelous creation effortlessly blends comfort and fashion, giving you the best of both worlds. Grae Cove’s swingy Sydney is styled like a sundress and it’s our choice with its classic silhouette and flattering round neckline. Just add a sweet statement bow to the stretchy waistline and go.
One of the greatest advantages of owning a lounge dress is its incredible versatility. Take our easy-breezy Isla, for example. With its slim, shift silhouette, it seamlessly transitions from home to life with ease. Keep it lowkey at home, and when you're ready to step out for a coffee or brunch date, pair it with some adorable espadrilles or cute open-toe sandals. This lounge dress is a valuable addition to your wardrobe, ensuring you're always prepared for any occasion that may come your way.
In a world of ever-changing fashion trends, the lounge dress stands out with its timeless appeal. The Georgina, linen dress, is a classic garment that transcends fleeting fads, ensuring that it remains a relevant and stylish choice year after year. The simple flared skirt, useful pockets, relaxed fit and floaty linen fabric is our reliable go-to option that never goes out of style. Wear with white sneakers now for errands and school drop-offs and an oversized cardigan with booties in the fall. We love that the Georgina effortlessly adapts to different weather conditions with the addition of layers or accessories.
Get ready to "add to cart." Your wardrobe will thank you, and you'll never look back on those leggings and sweatpants days the same way again.
]]>When it comes to creating your perfect sleep haven, the choice of bedding plays a significant role. Linen sheets have emerged as a must-have for home decor and sleep enthusiasts alike due to linen's natural texture, rustic charm, breathability, sustainability, and durability. Out of the box, linen sheets may feel coarser than their cotton counterparts, but those in the know appreciate and understand that linen requires a little more attention to reach its peak comfort level.
This comprehensive guide will explore the world of linen sheets, their benefits, and effective methods to soften them for a truly indulgent sleep experience.
Why choose linen sheets? At Grae Cove, some of us prefer the slubby, imperfectly perfect texture that can only be found in fabric made from flax. Others appreciate its practical qualities, such as inherent temperature regulation, breathability, and natural strength. Regardless of which team you're on, linen bedding has gained a cult-like following because it offers a unique, luxurious, and comfortable sleep experience..
Linen sheets are bed sheets made from linen fabric, a natural material derived from the flax plant. If you want to learn more about how flax turns into linen fabric, check out our post here.
Flax is widely regarded as a hearty and sturdy plant. Unlike cotton, which only utilizes the fluffy, pillowy stuff at the top, flax makers use the entire stalk to spin the fibers into fabric. Because flax fibers tend to be less fine and coarser than cotton, you'll find that you'll need to wash linen sheets several times to soften them up. Just keep in mind that linen sheets tend to shrink a little. To minimize shrinkage, please check our post on how to reduce linen shrinkage.
To all the hot sleepers out there, pay attention! Linen fabric is known for its exceptional breathability, moisture-wicking properties, and ability to regulate body temperature. Say goodbye to tossing and turning to find the cool spot on the bed (if you know, you know). The open weave and breathable nature of linen allow air circulation, keeping you cool and dry throughout the night. Its moisture-wicking properties help absorb excess sweat, promoting a fresh and comfortable sleeping environment. Linen is also hypoallergenic, making it an excellent choice for those with allergies or sensitive skin. And best of all, linen sheets tend to be more durable than cotton and can withstand frequent washing, ensuring long-lasting quality.
So, now that you've purchased your linen sheets, you'll notice that the hand-feel is substantially different from its cotton cousin. Linen sheets might feel slightly rough, even stiff at first. For those accustomed to cotton's out-of-the-box smoothness, we'll admit that the slubby feel might take some getting used to. While Grae Cove's linen sheets are pre-washed for softness and shrinkage, you'll want to follow our proper techniques to soften them even more. By softening linen sheets, you'll transform them into your own personal cozy haven.
Here are some effective techniques to soften your linen sheets and enhance their overall comfort:
Why pre-washed? Grae Cove's linen bedding has undergone special treatments to enhance their softness right from the start. Our pre-washing technique gives you a bit of a head-start on the softening journey. Other linen brands might also use "stone-wash" or "enzyme-wash." But we prefer to keep things natural and simple so you can enjoy the charm of our linen sheets.
Aside from just general cleanliness and basic hygiene, there is another added benefit to washing your linen sheets regularly. This is simplest ways to soften and care for linen sheets. We recommend tossing them in the wash at least once a week (when you're using them). Launder your linen sheets using a gentle cycle with mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals or bleach, please! Over time, the repeated washing and drying process will naturally soften the linen fabric, resulting in a smoother and more comfy sleep experience.
Using dryer balls during the tumble drying process on low heat or delicate setting can help naturally soften your linen sheets. Dryer balls (or even tennis balls will work too) create agitation within the dryer, fluffing and loosening the fibers. Add a couple of wool dryer balls to your dryer. Just know that the gentle rhythmic beats of dryer balls also aids in softening the fabric and reduces overall stiffness.
To maintain the softness of your linen sheets, follow these tips:
We know! Linen sheets can wrinkle. But, also proper storage can also help to maintain the smoothness, softness and shape. When not in use, store your linen sheets in a cool, dry place. Try not to crush the sheets in your linen closet. Instead, loosely fold your linen sheets or roll them to prevent permanent folds. Trust us, you'll thank us later.
Read our handy how to wash your linen guide. But, here are 2 key takeaways about caring for your linen bedding. First, avoid harsh chemicals like bleach and fabric softeners. Bleach tends to weaken the flax fibers in your sheets. Fabric softeners on the other hand, leave a residue and reduces the sweat-wicking properties of the linen sheets. Another key tip is to avoid excessive heat as it can damage the fibers. Follow these tips and you'll be doing your sheets (and the environment a huge favor.
Ready to embrace our super-soft linen bedding? Dive into your cozy, soft bed and let your new linen sheets guide you to dreamland.
]]>Picture this: you're snuggled up in your cozy bed, enveloped by the soft embrace of luxurious linen sheets. Ahh, pure bliss! But here's the thing: since luxury is meant to last, you gotta show some love and give proper care to your linens. Fear not, we've giving you a few homekeeping tips that'll keep your linen sheets in tip-top shape. And trust me, the optimal linen experience is worth it. You can thank me later!
Now, let's dive into the exciting realm of washing linen bedding. Drumroll, please!
First things first, how often should you give your linen sheets a good wash? Well, here's the deal. Linen is a magical fabric that's naturally resistant to dirt and odors. However, for the best results, it's ideal to wash your linen sheets every 1-2 weeks, depending on how much you use them. This prevents those pesky oils, sweat, and dirt from building up and wreaking havoc on your precious fibers. Nobody wants discoloration, right?
Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty of washing your linen sheets like a pro:
Now, what if you're short on time and air-drying is out of the question? Fear not! I have a secret trick up my sleeve. Set your dryer to a low heat setting and take out your sheets while they're still slightly damp. This way, you'll prevent them from becoming overly dry or stiff. After all, stiff linens are the arch-nemesis of comfy.
There you have it, my linen-loving friend. Washing and drying linen bedding like a pro is easier than you thought. So go ahead, give your linens the royal treatment they deserve. They'll reward you with nights of blissful slumber, and you'll wake up feeling like a true linen connoisseur.
Can't get enough of linen? View our newest bedding collection here.
All of your Grae Cove linen clothes and bedding (Yes! We have bedding now) have been pre-washed for shrinkage and for extra cozy-softness. But, if you've purchased linen clothes from another brand or just want to avoid shrinkage at all costs, here are some ways to prevent it from happening.
I know it sounds super obvious and it's tempting to toss everything in the washing machine without checking the care label. Believe me, I've regretted this decision before. But, taking the time to read the care label can save you a lot of heartache. We recommend machine-wash on the gentle cycle in cold water.
Here's the science behind it. Linen clothes, just like many natural fibers, are made up of long chains of molecules. These molecules are held together by these teeny-tiny chemical bonds that weaken when exposed to heat. When your new linen top is washed in hot water, these bonds can break causing the fibers to shrink. Not cool, right?
But, here's where cold water comes in as the hero. Cold water doesn't have enough energy to break these bonds, so the fibers are less likely to contract and shrink. By washing your Grae Cove linen tops, pants, dresses and sheets in cold water, you're helping to protect the delicate fibers and preserve the shape and size of your garments.
Plus, cold water is more eco-friendly, and we're all about living more sustainably, right?
Linen clothes should never be put in the dryer. The heat can cause the fibers to shrink and become misshapen. Instead, hang them up to air dry, preferably in a shaded area to avoid direct sunlight. It takes longer (we know), but you'll be able to preserve your beloved linen clothes and linen bedding longer too.
Once the linen clothes or linen bedding is dry, those stubborn wrinkles are tough to get out. But, the trick to make ironing easier is to iron your clothes (and if you're daring enough, your sheets) while they are still damp. This will help your clothes maintain shape and avoid shrinkage.
While I have washed Grae Cove linen clothes in the machine plenty of times, I also recommend hand-washing (if you're still bit cautious). This will ensure that they don't shrink or become damaged in the washing machine. You'll have more control over the water temperature and you'll treat your clothes more gently than a machine (by sloshing it around and rinsing, but never wringing your linen). But, let's be honest - this is a last resort option. I know many of you are busy with life and don't have the time to fuss with hand-washing.
Grae Cove essentials are accessibly price, but it's still an investment. With a little bit of care, your linen clothes and linen bedding won't shrink and will last for years.

]]>As the weather warms up and we transition into spring, it's time to start thinking about updating our wardrobes. One fabric that is perfect for the season is linen. Linen is a versatile, sustainable, and stylish fabric that has been used for clothing for thousands of years. Here are 7 reasons why you should consider wearing linen this spring:
Spring weather can be unpredictable, with fluctuating temperatures throughout the day. One of the best things about linen is that it is thermoregulating, meaning it keeps you cool when it's hot out and warm when it's cool out. Linen is also highly breathable, which allows air to circulate and keeps you feeling cool and comfortable all day long. We love that Grae Cove dresses, tops and pants can adapt to the changing temperatures of spring.

Linen is made from flax fibers, which are a natural and sustainable material. Flax is grown without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides, making it an eco-friendly choice. Additionally, linen is a biodegradable fabric, which means it can break down naturally without harming the environment. By choosing linen clothing, you're making a sustainable choice that is better for both you and the planet.

Another great thing about linen is that it's easy to care for. While it may wrinkle easily, this is part of its charm, and a few wrinkles won't detract from the overall look. Linen clothing can be machine washed and dried, making it a practical choice for everyday wear. And because linen is a durable fabric, it can withstand frequent washing without losing its shape or color.
Linen clothing is incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. A linen dress can be paired with sandals for a casual daytime look or dressed up with heels and jewelry for a more formal event. Linen pants can be worn with sneakers for a laid-back vibe or with dress shoes for a more sophisticated look. Whether you're headed to a garden party or to sunset drinks with friends, linen can adapt to any situation.

]]>We're diving into the inspiring story of a talented graphic designer turned blogger, Emily Lavinskas. She took a leap of faith to pursue her dreams, and she's now built a thriving community-driven blog that's all about sharing the things she loves with the world.
Plus, if you're interested in sustainability and eco-conscious living (who isn't these days?), you'll definitely want to stick around to hear her tips and tricks for making a positive impact on the planet. So, let's get to it.
Sam: Let's start with the most important question - what's your origin story? How did you end up becoming a blogger?
Emily: Well, it all started when I was working as a graphic designer and feeling creatively unfulfilled. I had always wanted to start a blog but was worried about what people would think. But eventually, I decided to go for it and create a space where people could come without judgement and find lifestyle and fashion content. Everyone is welcome, and that's what I'm hoping to create with my blog.
Sam: Starting something new takes guts. In the same way, our team decided to open our brand, Grae Cove. We weren't sure what the response was going to be about our linen clothing, but we're so happy we did. It sounds like you are too. So, tell me what is the essence of your blog?
Emily: Great question! I want my blog to feel like a cozy place where you can come and feel like you're hanging out with a friend. You can get to know me and the community, and find all sorts of content from fashion to sustainability. It's all about creating a community where everyone feels welcome and included.
Sam: I love that. Speaking of sustainability, can you tell me about your eco-awareness journey?
Emily: For me, it all started with food. I went vegetarian when I was a kid, maybe 11 or 12, but it was tough. While my parents were sort of supportive, they were also like, "We're not cooking you a whole other meal." But as I got older, I became more passionate about animal rights, and that eventually led me to learn more about the environmental impact of factory farming. That's when I realized that going vegetarian was a way for me to achieve two goals at once.
Sam: So true. It sounds like it was an easy choice for you. I think some people find going eco-friendly really daunting because there are so many aspects that they feel like they have to change. What's your best advice?
Emily: First, don't beat yourself up over not being perfect. Sustainability is a journey, and we're all human. Set attainable goals for yourself and take it one step at a time.
I highly recommend going vegetarian (or at least cutting back on meat). It's one of the best things you can do for the environment, and there are so many delicious plant-based options out there. While going vegetarian was easy for me, it might not be easy for you. And, it still took over 6 months for me to cut out meat altogether. I initially cut out all red meat, and stuck to chicken, turkey and fish. After six months, I decided to cut out poultry. It wasn't until a few years ago that I eliminated fish from my diet.
I'm actually allergic to soy, so tofu was totally out of the question. This transition worked for me because I could take the time to experiment with different recipes and discover the protein substitutes that I enjoyed eating. Here's my recipe for a yummy vegetarian "tuna-fish" sandwich.
For those who are trying to reduce their meat intake, try going vegetarian one day a week, then two...and see how it goes. It's all about finding what works for you and experimenting until you figure it out.
Sam: Right. What's easy for you, might be a challenge for some.
Emily: Exactly. Remember that sustainability isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. Everyone struggles with something different, and that's okay. Breaking habits is hard. No one said going eco-friendly was going to be easy. The key is setting attainable targets for yourself so that you're setting yourself up for success. For example, I struggle with cutting back on ziploc bags (they're just so convenient!), but cutting out meat was an easy one for me.
Sam: That makes so much sense. What's something you've learned in your sustainability journey, maybe a mistake that you've made?
Emily: Use what you already have before buying new eco-conscious items. For me, being eco-friendly, doesn't mean tossing things out just because they contain plastic, for instance. It's re-using, upcycling and then, responsibly disposing or recycling that item. Then, replacing it with better options.
I made the mistake of getting rid of all my plastic containers and switching them out for all glass ones, but in hindsight, it was wasteful and expensive. I could have just continued using the plastic ones until they wore out. If you're looking for tips on going plastic-free, you can read it on my blog here.
Sam: Love that advice. Being eco-friendly is also about consuming less and using what you have. But, if you did have to buy new, what are some smart choices?
Emily: I consider second-hand first. But, if you have to buy new, look for businesses that prioritize sustainability. That's why I love the mission of Grae Cove. Grae Cove ships directly your workshops which means that there's less emissions than a traditional retail business that ships from manufacturers, to sourcing agents, to warehouses, to wholesalers - That's so much shipping!
The linen shirt and top that I received are made with high-quality linen fabric. The styles are classic and neutral in tone, which means I'll be wearing for them on-repeat for long time, especially in the summer. Linen clothes are perfect for summers here in Canada. I'll also be taking these outfits with me on my honeymoon to Europe in a couple of weeks. Grae Cove is also affordable too. What's not to love?
You can read more about my Grae Cove review here.
Sam: We love that you love our Grae Cove clothing. Thanks so much for sharing your tips, Emily. Your journey towards sustainability is relatable, achievable and inspiring.

Rounding off half a year has been incredible! We can’t thank you all enough for shopping Grae Cove, leaving awesome customer reviews, and sharing our blossoming women's fashion brand/startup with all your friends and fellow linen lovers. We love taking you along on our small business journey and showing you everything that goes into building something you can love for life. Here’s a look inside our first six months in business and a sneak peak of what we have in store…
Like all new brands, we’ve absolutely navigated our share of peaks and valleys and winding roads in between. Call it small business initiation: where a few pieces of "constructive" feedback on our sizes and styles, supply chain and logistics issues, and scam-detecting platforms (a totally new concept to us) have thrusted us into crisis management and learning by doing. The light at the end of the tunnel is often a big sigh of relief in the form of a message from you, reading “I cannot live without these pants”. Yes, we love reading your testimonials and we’ve also mastered the art of celebrating small wins, and no, we are NOT a scam. (Is it more compelling if we say it in caps?)
Nevertheless, each challenge is met with a new method or mindset that makes each day rewarding. In our first six months, we’ve also had the great pleasure of working with talented content creators, fashion lovers and sustainability savants, to assemble the early stages of our influencer/affiliate program. It’s a different kind of fruitful community building when we can team up with creators and experts to improve our products and make a difference. Despite the many bumps in the new, small business road, it’s really our awesome community (you) that make it all worth it.
(Find us on Instagram or TikTok, @graecove or service@graecove.com if you’re interested in joining our influencer program!)
We love learning which pieces you love the most! Our top 3 best sellers from our first 6 months are (drum roll, please)...
Our first 6 months have been so very special and we’re pumped for what’s to come! In the next few months we are excited to: (1) launch new and improved styles for our first spring season ever, (2) partner with influencers and like-minded brands to give back to our communities, and (3) work with a new, US-based logistics team and warehouse to upgrade shipping times and customer service communication.
Packing up and delivering to you from our new warehouse in Rockwall, TX
We are also looking forward to expanding our (currently tiny) creative California office, so keep an eye out for potential openings if you’d like to join our team!
Thanks a million for sticking with us so far—we’re thrilled to be building something you truly love and look forward to this great next chapter!

]]>Linen isn't resistant to stains (unless it's treated). Stains can be removed more easily than other fabrics like polyester. Why? You should know that linen fabric is highly absorbent. When washing your linen top or linen pants in a washing machine, the detergent helps the make the fabric more absorbent. But, the water effectively cleans the linen fibers. The more absorbent the linen fibers, the better it will clean.
So, here's what you do...
Quick! Treat the stain fast.
This prevents the stain from embedding itself into the linen fibers. Waiting until the stain has dried will only lower your chances of removing the stain.
OK. But, what do I use to treat the stain? Before treating it with any harsh chemicals, we like using natural stain removers. A bonus? It's inexpensive and it's probably in your kitchen pantry or home.
Try Baking Soda or Corn Starch
We start by sprinkling the stained linen with baking soda. The baking soda absorbs the liquid (ahem, wine, I see you). Then, rinse the linen garment in cool water. Wash with a mild detergent in your washing machine.
What About White Vinegar?
White vinegar is a great cleaning agent to remove the stains from our linen clothes. You can dab a little white vinegar to the stain. But, be aware that white vinegar is quite acidic. To dilute the acid, we mix a solution of 1 part water and 1 part vinegar.
Use Good Ol' Detergent
Don't have baking soda or white vinegar on-hand? You can also use mild laundry detergent. Just simply dab a little of the detergent on the stained area. Rinse and throw it into the wash.

With these tips and tricks, you'll be able to keep your linen clothes looking fresh and new, even with a little one running around!

]]>Step 1: Separate your linens by colors. We particularly recommend washing your dark linen separately to avoid discoloration or damage.
Step 2: Turn garment inside out and choose the delicate or gentle setting, which is typically a cold or lukewarm temperature and a low spin cycle. Avoid overloading the wash to get the best results.
Step 3: Remove the linen garment immediately. As soon as the wash cycle is finished, take your linen out of the machine to prevent heavy creasing. Smooth out the fabric and hang or lay it flat to dry. Read our tips on how to keep linen from wrinkling here.
· Use a mild detergent meant for delicate fibers, and skip the fabric softener. Linen actually gets softer with each wash, so fabric softener can weaken the fibers and reduce its absorbency and moisture-wicking properties.
· If you're worried about color bleeding, you can use a color-catching laundry sheet.
· Our linen clothes are pre-washed and pre-shrunk.
We hope these tips help you take good care of your linen clothes and keep them looking their best.

First, let's talk about why linen wrinkles so easily. It's all due to the flax fiber, which lacks natural elasticity. When the fabric is folded or creased, it doesn't bounce back like other fabrics do, and that's how wrinkles form.
Now, the Grae Cove team has tried a few solutions out. And, here are our top three tips for reducing wrinkles in your linen garments:
Tip #1: Use a starch spray or wrinkle-release solution to smooth out already wrinkled linen. One option we like is Grove's Wrinkle Release Spray, which is earth-friendly and non-toxic. Simply spritz the solution on the wrinkled garment and smooth it out with your hands. Allow it to air-dry for best results and watch the de-wrinkling magic happen. This works especially well on trouble spots like the knees, elbows, and crotch areas.
Tip #2: As soon as you remove a damp linen garment from the wash, spritz it with a starch solution or wrinkle-release spray and lay it flat. Smooth it out with your hands as you go down the garment, and let it air-dry to finish. If you forget to pull your linen out of the garment and its already dried, dampen the garment with a spray bottle of water. Or, try tip #1.
Tip #3: Use a garment steamer or hang your damp linen garment in a steamy bathroom to remove any stubborn wrinkles. This is the most time-consuming option, but works really well.
Pro tip: Handwashing your linen is a gentler option than machine-washing, but we understand that it may not be practical for everyone. Just keep these tips in mind for maintaining the crisp appearance of your linen clothes.

]]>Linen is a natural fabric that has been used for centuries and is loved for its many wonderful qualities.
1. Linen is known for its natural strength and durability, which means that your pieces will last for years to come. It is the second strongest fiber after silk and 30% stronger than cotton.
2. When you first receive a linen item, you might notice that it feels a bit stiff. However, over time, linen has the unique ability to soften and become even more comfortable to wear. That's why you'll find yourself reaching for it again and again.
3. Linen, whether linen clothing or linen bedding, is great at regulating your body temperature. Linen is highly breathable, making it a great choice for hot, humid weather. The fibers of the flax plant are hollow, which allows air to circulate easily and keeps you cool. Linen absorbs moisture easily and dries quickly, making it a comfortable fabric to wear in warm conditions. No matter the weather, temperature or humidity, you can embrace the lightweight, airy nature of linen clothing or indulge in the cozy embrace of linen bedding.
4. If you have sensitive skin, linen is a great choice for you. It's anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic, so it's gentle on your skin.
5. Finally, linen has a significantly lower environmental impact compared to other fabrics. It requires less water to produce than cotton and is a more sustainable choice for the planet. According to the European Confederation of Linen and Hemp, it takes 6.4 liters of water to produce one linen shirt, compared to 2,700 liters of water for a cotton shirt.
6. Linen wrinkles easily, but many people find this to be a desirable feature as it adds to the fabric's natural, relaxed look. While some people may find the wrinkling of linen to be a drawback, others embrace it as a natural characteristic of the fabric that adds to its charm and casual appeal.
7. Linen is a natural fabric made from the fibers of the flax plant, making it environmentally friendly. Linen is biodegradable, meaning that it can break down naturally in the environment. This is in contrast to synthetic fabrics, which are made from non-renewable resources and can take hundreds of years to break down. The production of linen also requires less energy and resources than many other fabrics, making it a more sustainable choice.
